Road
From the M62: at the end of the motorway continue straight ahead onto Edge Lane (A5080 then A5047) and follow signs for Liverpool City Centre and the University.
Rail
Liverpool Lime Street Inter-City station is a 10-minute walk from the Sherrington Building. Facing the departures and arrivals board, leave the station at the exit on your left. Turn right on to Lime Street and left again at the Lord Nelson Hotel. At the end of the street turn right on to London Road. Continue along this road passing the School of Tropical Medicine, and the Foresight Centre. The Sherrington Building is located on the next road on the right.

Coach
The National Express coach station is in Norton Street, a ten-minute walk from the Campus. From the exit, turn right and cross London Road into Seymour Street and Russell Street. Then turn left into Brownlow Hill and head towards the Metropolitan Catholic Cathedral.

Ferry
Mersey Ferries operates services between Pier Head and Birkenhead/ Wallasey on the Wirral. You can also sail between Liverpool and Belfast and the Isle of Man. Once in Liverpool, follow signs for the Catholic Cathedral, or for Lime Street Station, then follow directions to the university from the station, as listed above.

Air
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is situated eight miles from the city and is best reached by taxi or the express bus, located directly outside the entrance to the airport terminal. There is also a direct coach service linking Liverpool with Manchester Airport, which takes around an hour.

Car Parking
There is very limited car parking available in Ashton Street, close by the Sherrington Building.
Directions:
From M62 (end of motorway)
Follow signs for City Centre and University along Edge Lane (A5047), Irvine Street, West Derby Street and Pembroke Place.You will drive past the silver Biosciences Building and Incubator on your left and you will see the Royal Liverpool University Hospital on your right.
You will see the Sherrington Medical Lecture Theatre on the corner of Crown Street and Pembroke Place. Take the first immediate left after seeing the building onto Ashton Street. Parking is available outside the building.
From M53 (Wirral)
From the Wallasey Tunnel, take right hand lane at tunnel exit, follow signs for City Centre. Continue straight-ahead taking either left hand lane (signs for Warrington, Manchester, M62 and Royal Liverpool Hospital) into New Islington.
Take right hand lane, turning right at traffic lights into Norton Street, (signs for Ring Road, Lime Street Station and University). Continue to next set of traffic lights. Turn left into London Road. Drive straight ahead through 2 sets of traffic lights. The turning for Ashton Street is the first road on the right after passing the Foresight Centre on your right.
