Eating and Drinking

Today there are over 250 city centre bars, pubs and clubs in this “World Capital of Pop.” and the Liverpool crowds are lively and friendly. Liverpool was one of the first truly multi-cultural cities in Britain and this is reflected in the variety of restaurants in the city including

  • Chinese
  • Indian
  • African
  • Japanese
  • Thai
  • Spanish
  • Mexican
  • Greek and Russian

Places to eat:
Lots of the galleries and museums have places to eat and drink, for example the FACT's Rear View is a good place to sip a cultural coffee and nibble a piece of cake. Alternatively if you fancy some vegetarian or vegan food the place to go is the Egg Cafe, where the portions are large but the prices small.

Places to Drink:
If you want an alternative place to drink with lots of culture then you might want to try the 3345 members club, which can be found up a stair case, behind an unassuming door, which is adjoining to the Parr Street Studios, where such bands as Coldplay have been known to record. This bar may be a bit hard to find as there is no large sign showing its presence.
